Limited Company Accounts & Corporation Tax

Compliance Made Easy: Accounts & Tax Returns

Every UK limited company must file Statutory Accounts with Companies House and a Corporation Tax Return (CT600) with HMRC each year. We prepare and file both as a standalone service — though most of our clients find our all-inclusive Accounts Packages better value, since ongoing bookkeeping and Corporation Tax planning are bundled in throughout the year rather than left to a single year-end bill.

Limited Company Accounts & Corporation Tax

Limited companies face dual filing obligations. We manage both required submissions to ensure regulatory deadlines are met and compliance is guaranteed:

Key Deadlines & Penalties

Missing a filing deadline is one of the most common (and most avoidable) costs facing limited company directors:

What We'll Need From You

To prepare your accounts and CT600, we'll typically ask for your bank statements, sales records, purchase invoices and receipts, and details of any dividends or director's loans for the accounting period. If you already keep your own books in software such as Xero, we can work directly from your existing records to keep this as efficient as possible.

Limited Company Accounts Are Included

Our monthly Accounts Packages cover all statutory accounts, Corporation Tax, bookkeeping, and year-end filing as standard, removing the risk of unexpected annual bills.

Standalone limited company accounts start from £400 based on turnover and complexity.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's included in our Annual Accounts Service?

Our annual accounts service includes preparation of statutory accounts for Companies House, tax computations, and submission of your Corporation Tax return (CT600) to HMRC.

How much do limited company accounts cost?

Standalone limited company accounts start from £400, depending on your turnover, transaction volume, and complexity (such as VAT registration or multiple income streams). We always confirm a fixed fee before any work begins. If you're on one of our Accounts Packages, annual accounts and CT600 filing are already included in your monthly fee.

What is the CT600?

The CT600 is the Corporation Tax return that limited companies must submit annually to HMRC, showing profits, tax due, and supporting details.

When do I need to file my limited company accounts?

Statutory accounts must be filed with Companies House within 9 months of your company's year end. Your CT600 must be filed with HMRC within 12 months of year end, though the Corporation Tax itself is due 9 months and 1 day after year end.

What happens if I file my accounts late?

Companies House apply an automatic penalty starting at £150 for accounts filed even one day late, rising to £1,500 if more than six months overdue — and penalties double if you're late two years in a row. HMRC also charges penalties for a late CT600 and interest on unpaid Corporation Tax.
